I wrote this big long comment but then they said I had to go back to my email to give info then go back to the original sight just to find out everything I wrote was gone- ugh!!!!
So, to paraphrase what I wrote ( cause I’ve forgotten most of it already)—
I don’t think I ever fully realized just how many reasons people leave the Amish faith & way of life. All are important and deserve our support.
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to leave all you know and start a new life. And it’s not like you go into this new life hands free, I’m sure you take a lot of baggage along with you. That which you have to try and start to heal from while seeking a new life. My heart breaks for those who struggle to heal and turn to things to make them numb to the pain and the fear and I’m sure, self doubt. How brave they are all.

Pamela, now I know why no one else has commented here. As I mentioned on my other blog, I'm building a new site because I'm not liking that Substack functions like social media more than a blog site. But thank you for all the trouble you went through. It means so much to have your loyal readership!
Hello Marilyn. I've actually changed venues again. I'm now at https://aboutamishandbeyond.com/blog/. So sorry to confuse you.
So glad I have found you again and will hope to keep reading thru this new route.
Saloma- I hate technology!!! LOL
